I got these really nice speakers with an old G4 that I got from a friend. but I would love to run them off the iMac I now principally use. Apple made the iFire Adapter for a while but discontinued them. So I want to get one wherever I can.

Griffin made the iFire adapter, not Apple. I can't find any on eBay, so I doubt there are many that people are selling. Good luck in your search.

They've been off-market long enough that no one is selling them; I've been looking for nearly a year, myself. Good luck, and my sympathies!

Something else to look out for is the Griffin PowerWave, it's older than the iFire so probably harder to find, but it least it gives you another product to search for.
