Just got the new mouse and after updating the software have fallen in love. Without the update Snow Leopard refuses to find it. Stepping up from the mighty mouse is a good call. No more clogged scroll wheel. This thing scrolls so beautifully. Just a swipe of the finger, slow or fast. Nicely heavy too. Bit slow on tracking though. Just thought I'd let you know it's a great piece of hardware. Looks fantastic as well.

I second that opinion. I played with it at length at the Apple store last week. Very nice improvement over the old. And it does have a nice, substantial feel and weight to it. It is definitely a top quality product.

If I wasn't so much in love with my MX Revolution, I'd get one. Looks like a great product.

I'm thinking of buying one for my MacBook, because normal Mighty Mouses are... Let's face it... Not that great... And the other Microsoft mouse I have is... Really bad. Although the built in trackpad is great, and I love it, I find it's sometimes hard to get comfortable with. I want basically the trackpad in a mouse, is the magic mouse exactly that?

I'm gonna try and find an Apple store with one in stock and try it out there before I consider buying it. It looks very low profile, I can imagine it giving me bad hand cramps if I used it all day. I already get a stiff hand using the Mighty Mouse.

The difference here is that it moves the cursor like an ordinary mouse so it's not like a trackpad. As for the hand cramps I can see what you mean. It takes a little getting used to and only time will tell if my hand rejects it. But... I keep finding jobs to do so I can use the mouse some more.

I wish Apple would come out with a wireless version of the pad that is on all of their Laptops as an alternative to the Magic Mouse. That would be the best to me. I still hate,"pawing" around my desk with a mouse to move the cursor. This keyboard has the function built into it but is unfortunately only PC compatible from what I can tell. I would give up my trackball in an instant if Apple came out with their Multi-touch on an iPhone sized wireless interface.

I just bought the Wacom Bamboo tablet (the version with pen and touch). It's not quite as full-featured as the trackpad on my MBP, but it has a fair amount of gestures. It gives a great level of control with both touch and pen. I can even use it with Aperture.

I'm sure I'd like the Magic Mouse, but can't really justify it after buying the tablet.

Thanks GadgetComa for the comment. I didn't realize Wacom had incorporated touch. The Bamboo Fun looks pretty awesome. I wish it had a wireless version, but it's touch is very well featured.
