Okay... I hate to complain... But how long are Apple products supposed to last?

The iPhone earphones are useless and literally blew the other day... As in a huge spark came out if it and the cord was severed...

The 30-Pin dock connector is... Um... Seperated... Between the wire coverIng and he actual 30 pin connector thing... Was just all tangled wire! No covering, just 30 strands of wire all tangled up!

What else? Ah yes... I was wondering why my computer was running slow the other day... I just took a glance at the System Profiler... And what do ya know? One of my ram chips wasn't working properly!

I opened the back case (why are there so many screws!) and found the RAM chip... It had been somewhat disconnected... I reput it in and I turned my computer back on... To find out why my computer was running so hot... That would be that my fan doesn't work! So I dislodged that and got it spinning again... I was just thinking... What's next?

And Consumer Reports just released its December issue "Best New Electronics". In it you will find the Laptop ratings, three categories: A) 12-13 inch, B) 14-16 inch and C) 17-18 inch. In all three categories, the MacBook Pro was the top ranked laptop for its respective category. For Reliability, the Apple Laptops tied for 4th, with 19 repairs per 100, but the leader was still 16 repairs per 100 (Toshiba). For desktops, Apple was number 1 in reliability by a wider lead of 13 per 100 with Gateway at nearly twice the failures at 23 per 100. Apple was also "Recommended" in every category it had a product for. By comparison, Sony was only recommended in one of three categories in which it had 5 total computers tested.

So if you get frustrated with Apple, my point is: Just think how miserable your life would be if you were using a PC . Plus, do really think the Zune connector is any better, or the Zune-included headphones?

Yeah... But Zune Is Microsoft... What do you expect? But those Apple headphones dont last... I payed $19 for my Sony headphones, which lasted 2 years, yes YEARS! But, I could pay $29 for the Apple headphones... Which will last about 2 WEEKS!

Like I said before, I've never had a problem with Apple headphones, apart from the ones which got trapped in the car door. Look after things and they last.

If you've got hardware problems with your MacBook, take it to an Apple store. Occasionally you get a lemon, or one of the 19 out of 100 that needs a repair.

I hate to say it... But I reckon this WAS a 19/100... Until I fixed it...

Bah. I take it back. My left iPhone earbud just blew. All I'm hearing in it is fuzz. The right one still works. Do you think if I get a nice genius I'll get some free replacements?

I've had the same issues with the iPhone headset. I still get sound from it, but with a lot of buzzing any time there's a louder noise. Next trip to the Apple store I'll be trying to get a new pair.

I've never had a problem with cords tearing, but this isn't the first time I've had this buzzing issue.

well i found out that the headphones (if you buy em alone) come with a years warranty...

surely the headset with the iphone would be covered under the iphone warranty or its own
