Hi.. I'm Alex and I'm new of this forum.
I have a problem with my ipod touch 2G.
I bought it 1 week ago and after one day I updated at 3.1 OS version.
I don't know if I had this problem from the very beginning or after the update but basically the key to switch to the numeric mode on the keyboard doesn't work.
I have the same problem with the landscape mode on the left. When I use the landscape on the right it's fine.
It seem to me that the whole left side of the screen doesn't work.
I was wondering if some of you guys has never had this kinda problem and if you think is a hardware or a software problem (in the latter I'll wait next update).
Thank you very much for any help.
Have a good day.
Alex
ps:sorry for my English, I'm not English.

I've not heard of such an issue before. Can you tap icons on the left of the screen when not in keyboard mode? This would help determine if it's a hardware issue. To be on the safe side though I would do a restore and reinstall the OS onto the iPod.

Like phil said, do a restore of the iPod just to be sure. You will not lose any data on your iPod, since iTunes will sync it all back. If that doesn't solve the issue, it's a hardware problem.
