I have a friend who has a new Apple computer and is not very computer savvy. I am trying to help her with several issues, but since I am a long-time Windows user -- I know, boo -- there are a couple of things that have stumped me.
One is attaching files ... I have shown her how to do that, pretty self-explanatory. However, we cannot figure out how to attach files created and stored in her Document icon at the bottom of the screen ... those files are grayed out, and you cannot highlight and select. Other files, no problem. Does anybody know what she needs to do to allow her to select and attach Document files? I couldn't figure it out. I aapreciate any help anyone can give me. My direct email address is kkellermann@windstream.net. BTW, I am very impressed with her system! |

Just go into Mail and:
1) Click "New Message" 2) Click "Attach" 3) Locate the file and click "Choose File" That's really all you have to do. Alternately, you can drag a file onto the Mail icon in the dock and it will automatically create a new mail message with the file as the attachment. You'll find that on the Mac, unlike Windows, if you just do what you think should work, 95% of the time it will. ![]()

What file types are you trying to attach?
