Hey all.

If you noticed I was gone for a while, I went to Thailand for three weeks, where I had to resort to using my iPhone... Yeah...

Then when I got back, I took my computer to the apple store (we finally have one!!) where they (very generously) fixed the spacebar and all the other stuff wrong with it for free!!

I love apple.

Same can't be said for Vista... Which is rubbish.

I recently bought the sims 3 (very excited) but accidentally bought the pc version. So the game needs 2.0gb ram to run it on vista, and my MacBook only gas 2.0gb of ram. Does this explain why the game just ends... Crashes if you like?

However xp only needs 1.5gb so would I have more luck?

I would save yourself the aggravation. Buy the Mac version. See if you can find a friend or something to sell the Windows one to. If you don't absolutely have to use it, Windows will just cause you pain and ruin the experience of the game for you.

Can't you just take it back and swap it for the Mac version?

With virtually all stores, you cannot return open software or other CDs. It would make it too easy to copy the content and then return it.

You might want to try contacting the software publisher. They may be willing to swap or only charge for the media (~ $6-10 US).

Well I reinstalled vista - basic, which is an updated xp, and everythings much better. I've got other stuff for windows that I need to run, I can't take it back and ea won't swap it! But I'm happy anyway!!
