Looking to buy a Macbook Pro in the next few days but I've heard speculation of a new Macbook Pro coming out before the holiday season? Can anyone shed light on this? Should I wait to buy?

There are no current rumors about an MBP refresh. The only time I recommend waiting is right before Macworld and WWDC. Go ahead and buy.

Macbook Pro is really the best and I don't think there is any new product coming up. Go ahead and buy it. It has good features. You will be satisfied with its performance.

Ok next question- I am definitely getting the 15'' macbook pro but I'm torn between the 2.66ghz and 320gb hard drive for $2000 or 2.8ghz and 500gb hard drive for $2300.

I plan on partitioning my hard drive to make it run pc/mac. I would be using this comp for music, web surfing, pics, computer games (starcraft 2 when it comes out). Any input would be great. Thanks.

And if I went with the 500gb hard drive, do I want the 500GB Serial ATA Drive @ 5400 rpm or the 500GB Serial ATA Drive @ 7200 rpm for $50 more?

OK just bought the 2.8ghz and 500gb hard drive. With the student discount it was 2300 and change. Can't wait.

The 7200 is worth it for video and working with big files. Congrats on the new MBP and let us know how you like it when you receive it.
