For anyone else considering MLB AB, I will chime in that it is one of my favorite as well. And it was just updated yesterday with 3.0 to include streaming video of the games. It started with a surprise couple games last night and it is great. There are a couple of random games per day to start as they phase in everything available at mlb.tv as the season rolls on. It is unclear if there will be an in app upgrade to access every game or what, but for now the games are free if you already own the $10 app.

I'll miss out once again on being an early adopter, but oh well. Maybe by the time I get mine there will be a jailbreak available for the 3GS and all other devices running 3.0.
I think if you have your phone within the first two weeks of release, we can still call you an "early adopter"

Well, I did it again. I have now bought my 3rd iPhone, and I love it. The camera is actually a dramatic improvement, not as much for the 50% pixel bump (which definitely helps) but for the white/exposure balance that you can control for a selection within the image along with focus. I have taken so many shots with the old phone that are either washed out or dark because of the camera's inability to adjust the exposure on your subject. Now you can have a bright background and allow it to "wash-out" to allow a foreground subject to be properly exposed. No more dark silhouettes, or certainly not as many. The focus looks significantly sharper too. I think this is perfect, any more pixels and it becomes impractical to send to anyone off a phone. I just want something that takes a "decent" shot. I am not worried about doing any pro work with my phone.

The compass is really cool too. And it seems to give Lat and Long nearly instantly from it's GPS signal, not the long delay in the 3G Maps App.

And as far as speed is concerned, the "S" is legit. It seems to be about two times faster on opening Apps such as "Missile Command" and on some stuff, like Discovery Channels free CannonGame, it is about 4 to 5 times faster. On the 3GS about 2 seconds, and almost 10 Seconds on the 3G. It simply feels "snappy" throughout the OS and all Apps. I will compare them here in a bit loading Web pages via Wi-Fi (since my 3G is not on the ATT network now, after my service transfer). Really responsive. Sorry Pre, you aren't going to keep up with this thing - and I have demoed the Pre Put one of each in either hand of a buyer, and there will be no contest.

Final note, if you would like to pick one up with no lines, try BestBuy. I went in at 11:00 am to get mine. They had a mix of 22 total 3GS phones left. I bought the 3rd one of the morning, and they had been open for an hour, no lines. This is their first time being able to sell the launch of an iPhone model, and it appears to be off everyone's radar. I know my Apple store had a bit of a line this morning. Same price and easy activation of new or upgrade. Enjoy.

(anyone need a perfect condition 3G 16GB?

This was a very happy sight for me this morning:

Should be at the at&t store on Monday. It's a shame that FedEx doesn't deliver over the weekends. It's only about 500 miles away, so it would normally be delivered today or tomorrow if it wasn't a weekend.

They are getting at least around $300 to $350 on eBay for the 16GB 3G. To save me the listing hassle and to give the phone a "loving home", I would certainly move it for $250, with free Fedex shipping to you if you thought that fair. It has all packaging, original un-used ear buds. It is in perfect shape. It has never spent a day, until now for shipping, out of a hard-case. The packing is all in excellent condition as well as the phone of course. I would truly say the phone looks like new. It is not unlocked.

I know the 8GB is on sale now for $99, and Apple usually adds $100 to double the memory. Those prices are with a contract. As you know, they add $200 to any phone if you are not eligible for a normal contract renewal. So a "contract free 8GB would be $300 at Apple/ATT pricing.

Here are the images I took for an eBay listing of the phone today.

I really wish I could justify buying it! I just don't have the money for it (and your price is more than fair!) All the best with an eBay auction notabadname!

My 3GS is now waiting for me at the at&t store! Going to pick it up in a few hours.

The restore of the settings from my iPod Touch is about halfway done now. The iPhone is really a thing of beauty. The at&t rep activated it in the store so I used it a little on the ride home. Even without my data or any apps, it's incredibly useful. As we were passing a restaurant we liked, I was able to type in the name, look up the phone number, and call to make a reservation before the restaurant had even left the rearview mirror. It's amazing how much more useful it is than the Touch.
