Get "SportsTap". Easily one of the best Apps out there, if not THE best for sports fans. It works on a Touch via Wi-Fi, but the beauty of it is the freedom via 3G, anywhere, any time, sports updates, live game updates and play tracking. If you enjoy following baseball or any other sport, its the App to have and one I would not bother with on a Touch.

I tried SportsTap a while back. I found the interface clunky and slow, and have moved onto MLB At Bat for baseball (one of my favorite apps on the App Store) and ESPN ScoreCenter for everything else.

If you've never used it, you're really missing out. It's a paid app, but it includes radio broadcasts for either team, video highlights during the game, and much, much more.

Can any at&t iPhone customers tell me what fees/minute usage are associated with having calls on hold/holding conference calls? I thought I'd heard you have to use minutes for each number that you are connected to, but correct me if I'm wrong.

Yes, I believe it you are correct, that each call/connection is charged as they would be if you made them separately. I have only made a few conference calls and have since discarded the bills, but pretty sure it was that way. Makes sense that it would be as such.

I remember hearing that during the announcement of the first iPhone, but couldn't find an Apple or at&t support doc confirming it. Google Voice offers free conference calling, but Google has yet to publicly release it and no invites are available. It's a shame, since there are some good apps for managing Google Voice on the iPhone.

Well, I called the local at&t store today which informed me that my 3GS would be delayed by up to "7-14 days", despite them promising me it would be at the store on the 19th. So, after a grand total of almost five days of being an at&t customer, I already hate them. I think that may be a new record.

They will be available at BestBuy tomorrow also. My BestBuy said they don't know what that stock will be tomorrow until it gets delivered by UPS in the morning, prior to or close to opening. I guess you have already paid, so that is not likely an option. My ATT store said they will have stock available outside the pre-orders also on first-come-first-served basis. Maybe you could just show up and grab one of those, then they could release your pre-order to someone else.
I would have pre-ordered mine for door delivery tomorrow, but at the time, there was a $200 penalty if only one year into the contract for the 3G. ATT just recently announced (too late for pre-order delivery on 19th) that there is no penalty now if you got your current iPhone by September of last year and your account is in perfect standing. So now with no penalty, I will get one, but I may have to wait if I can't score one at the Apple Store opening.

Since I've already paid and I don't trust at&t to keep their word that they'll refund my money if I don't pick up the pre-ordered 3GS, I'll just be waiting for the pre-ordered iPhone to be delivered. I'll miss out once again on being an early adopter, but oh well. Maybe by the time I get mine there will be a jailbreak available for the 3GS and all other devices running 3.0.
